Garden tours are available April through October.
Tours cover most of the formal display gardens and include some history of the estate and its ecosystem, how the Gardens are managed and cared for by our volunteers, descriptions of each of the various gardens areas, as well as horticultural information. Experienced guides, who are members of the Friends, conduct these adult-oriented tours.
The standard tour is a walking tour for visitors who are mobile, can be scheduled any day of the week, and is generally 1.5 hours in length. The gardens tours involve some moderately sloping and gravel pathways, so are not well-suited for people using canes, wheelchairs or walkers. Tours can however be tailored to accommodate visits to those gardens where canes, wheelchairs and walkers can be easily and safely used.
With advance notice, group or private tours can be arranged.
The fee is $10 per person for a minimum of $40 per tour.
To book a tour contact Arthur Timms at firstname.lastname@example.org or 250-370-5154.
Proceeds go to the maintenance and improvement of the gardens by the Friends.
