In the Cary Mews you’ll find a Tea Room and Gift Shop, an Interpretive Centre, the
Costume Museum, and a Heraldry Exhibit.

The Tea Room and Costume Museum will be open for the summer season weekly Tuesday through Saturday. The Tea Room and Costume Museum will close for the season Friday September 1st, 2017.

The Gift Shop provides a small selection of gift items, some from Buckingham Palace and Highgrove and some Government House logo’d items, such as golf shirts, mugs and cuff links.

In the Interpretive Centre, you will find information about Government House, a National Historic Site, the people who have lived and worked in the House and on the estate, as well as the history of the role of the Lieutenant Governor.

Visit the Costume Museum to see the Windsor uniform, official ceremonial uniform of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, plus over forty vintage costumes and many period artifacts.

You can also visit a Heraldry Exhibit.
