Looking for Tea Room Staff,
Greeters, and Volunteer Team Members
Tea Room and Greeter seasons are May 23 until September 1, Tuesday to Friday.
Tea Room Staff Needed
Have you considered volunteering in the Tea Room this summer? We are delighted that the Tea Room will once again offer indoor dining service. Tea Room hours are 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Volunteers are needed to act as greeters and serve meals. Morning and afternoon shifts will last three hours each. Please contact Sheila Connelly at connellyhome@shaw.ca
Greeters Needed
We are seeking volunteers to fill the two shifts per day, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 12:30 – 3 p.m. This includes four volunteers per shift, two garden volunteers (weather permitting), and two Mews volunteers (interchangeable during the shift).
You do not need any knowledge of gardens and plants as talking notes that cover a basic history of the gardens are provided by both the House and the Friends Board. Please contact Patti Shaughnessy at shaughnessypatti@gmail.com to volunteer as a greeter.
If interacting with the public is your cup of tea, or you would love to be part of the Cary Mews group that welcomes visitors, please get in touch with either Sheila or Patti.

Join Our New Volunteer Team!
This dynamic group helps new volunteers in both gardening and non-gardening roles find a spot that’s the best fit for them. The group also does some advertising and responds to email inquiries.
We are looking for someone to be part of this great opportunity to meet new people. Please contact Friends@fghgs.ca.
Become part of our amazing organization and help visitors enjoy the beautiful Government House gardens and our historic Cary Mews.
